Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Galion, Ohio
Join a dedicated Labor & Delivery nursing team in Galion, Ohio, for a 13-week travel nurse contract with consistent night shifts.
Make a meaningful impact supporting patients and families throughout childbirth. This on-site Ohio travel nursing opportunity offers three 12-hour night shifts each week in a welcoming north-central Ohio community known for its small-town atmosphere, convenient access to outdoor recreation, and proximity to larger regional destinations.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Galion, Ohio
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200-$2,320
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Work Setting: On-site
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a valid compact-state license; pending licenses are not accepted
- At least 2 years of recent, continuous Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Epic experience preferred
- Willingness to float to affiliated sites in Ontario and Bucyrus, Ohio, when needed
- Ability to participate in on-call coverage if assigned and arrive within one hour when called in
- Willingness to complete required pre-start learning modules through HealthStream, up to 8 hours
- Availability should account for limited time off during major holidays
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, and promptly identify changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments, assist with procedures, and support evidence-based clinical care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia, newborn care teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after delivery
- Accurately document patient care and communicate effectively during handoffs
- Adapt to changing unit needs and provide high-quality care when floating to affiliated locations
