Travel Laboratory Technician Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,010-$1,090
• Location: Granbury, Texas
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital laboratory

• Assignment Length: Approximately 13 weeks, ending January 11, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday, and Monday preferred
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: No call required
• Floating: No floating required
• Scheduling: Block scheduling may be requested

Laboratory Technician Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of laboratory technician or clinical laboratory experience
• Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification; MLT certification through ASCP or AMT is preferred
• Hands-on experience with hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, and Gram stains
• Experience using Sysmex XN-1000, Siemens CA-660, Siemens Dimension EXL, Ortho manual gel methods, and Sofia 2 analyzers is preferred
• Ability to work independently and accurately during 12-hour day shifts
• Proficiency with Medhost and AS/400 laboratory or electronic medical record systems is preferred
• Travel candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location
• Ability to follow department dress requirements: red-top scrubs with black bottoms

Clinical Laboratory Technician Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, and microbiology
• Prepare and process patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures
• Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory analyzers
• Conduct Gram stains and other manual testing procedures with attention to detail
• Verify, document, and communicate accurate test results within required timeframes
• Maintain quality control, laboratory safety, and regulatory standards throughout the testing process
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and patient care
