- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,390 – $1,460
- Charting System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs, top and bottom
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg or neuro nursing experience required
- Ability to prioritize care and manage a busy patient assignment in a hospital setting
- Strong multitasking, teamwork, and clinical communication skills
- Comfort with bedside shift report and family-centered communication
- Experience starting IVs and providing basic wound care
- Ability to manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to neuro med/surg patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status promptly
- Administer nursing interventions and support individualized care plans
- Perform IV starts, wound care, and routine bedside nursing tasks
- Maintain and assess surgical drains, NG tubes, and chest tubes as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated patient care
- Complete bedside shift reports and communicate effectively with patients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Float as needed according to contract scheduling guidelines
