Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Job in Columbus, Ohio | 13-Week Assignment

- Float: Required within the organization as needed
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele, telemetry, or related acute care nursing experience
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- Active compact or state RN license in hand at the time of submission
- BLS required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS required for compliance
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to float to different units and adapt quickly to changing patient needs
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays
- 2 professional references, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Tele setting
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other ordered treatments
- Support wound care, oxygen therapy, line management, and isolation precautions
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote coordinated patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
- Adapt to float assignments while maintaining a calm, professional bedside presence
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through strong communication and teamwork
