Telemetry Registered Nurse | Travel RN Contract in Corpus Christi, TX

- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekends: Rotating weekends
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
- Setting: Acute care telemetry / med-surg unit
- Floating: Med/Surg units as needed
- EMR: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 2 years of acute med/surg nursing experience within the last year
- Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Telemetry nursing or orthopedic nursing experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
- Comfort with core clinical skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, and EHR documentation
- Friendly, positive, and adaptable bedside manner
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate patient care to telemetry and med/surg orthopedic patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Administer medications and perform routine nursing procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain timely, complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader acute care team
- Support patient recovery through strong clinical assessment and ongoing communication
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital unit environment
