Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Assignment in San Leandro, CA

- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,030 to $3,190
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Maternal Newborn Nursing
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- ACLS certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- High-risk OB experience preferred; high-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality Labor & Delivery nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in maternal or fetal condition
- Support safe, evidence-based care during labor, delivery, and recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes
- Assist with high-risk obstetric situations as appropriate to experience and scope of practice
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit protocols, safety standards, and clinical best practices
- Deliver patient-centered education and emotional support to families throughout the birthing process
