In this Labor & Delivery RN travel assignment, you will deliver safe, attentive, evidence-based care in a fast-paced L&D setting while collaborating with a skilled interdisciplinary clinical team to support positive patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Women’s Health
- Location: San Leandro, CA 94577
- Start Date: 12/2/2026
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,030 – $3,190
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on unit needs
- Labor & Delivery experience required; high-risk OB experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based maternal care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support high-risk labor and delivery cases with confidence, clinical judgment, and strong nursing skills
- Assist with fetal monitoring, labor support, and delivery room preparation
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes
- Respond to maternal and neonatal emergencies with critical thinking and composure
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold patient safety standards at all times
