Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Pratt, Kansas Travel Nursing Job

- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
- Location: Pratt, Kansas — a welcoming South Central Kansas community known for its friendly atmosphere and small-town charm
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 06:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
- Schedule Type: Block scheduling
- Call Requirement: Call every 5th or 6th weekend and one weekday
- Orientation: 8 hours
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
- Experience as an OR Circulator preferred and expected
- Strong proficiency in orthopedic surgery cases, including total joints
- Experience with general surgery and OB C-sections
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Active RN license in hand or compact license required at submission
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with strong teamwork skills
- Travel nursing experience is welcome, though not required
- No first-time travelers for this assignment
Responsibilities
- Function as the OR Circulator and support safe, efficient surgical workflow
- Prepare and coordinate care for a variety of surgical cases, including orthopedics, general surgery, OB C-sections, GYN, podiatry, endoscopy, and other procedures
- Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and adherence to universal protocol throughout the perioperative experience
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure smooth case progression
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and case readiness, including specialized tools such as the Hana Table
- Support care for patients across age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Float to different units as needed to support patient care
- Participate in call coverage as scheduled and contribute to a dependable team environment
