- Daily Census: Approximately 70 patients
- Charting System: Cerner
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active RN license in West Virginia or a Compact state; pending license may be accepted for submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- ONC certification preferred
- Experience with infusion therapy, oncology nursing, ports, central lines, and IV administration strongly preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting preferred
- Ability to provide a clean license history with no prior suspensions; probationary actions reviewed case by case
- Permanent residence must be more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 75-99 miles may be considered case by case
Infusion Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality infusion nursing care to oncology patients
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, hydration, and supportive therapies as ordered
- Perform port access, central line care, PICC line care, and IV starts
- Monitor patients closely for treatment tolerance, side effects, and abnormal lab values
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication use, and symptom management
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and support smooth care coordination
- Collaborate with phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy to support patient care needs
- Follow radiation safety, chemotherapy handling, and infection control protocols at all times
