Job Details
- Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
- Location: Madison, WI
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Schedule: Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
- Experience starting IVs required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry competency test must be passed prior to start
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and float as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
- Start and maintain IVs and support a wide range of bedside nursing needs
- Care for patients with diverse diagnoses in an acute care, family medicine setting
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe patient outcomes
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical workflows
- Adapt to a structured environment with float expectations and rotating shift coverage
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a respected academic healthcare setting
