CVICU Registered Nurse Travel Job in Cleveland, Ohio 44195
Bring your critical care expertise to a fast-paced Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) in Cleveland, Ohio 44195, a major healthcare hub known for its strong medical community, access to world-class care, and vibrant city atmosphere. This 13-week travel RN assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to support high-acuity cardiac patients while working alongside a collaborative clinical team in a specialized intensive care environment.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44195
- Start Date: 10/23/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
CVICU RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
- At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in the CVICU or a closely related cardiac ICU setting
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Willingness to work at least every other holiday
- Must be prepared to complete required compliance and onboarding steps promptly
CVICU Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing to cardiovascular and critically ill cardiac patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition with a strong focus on patient safety
- Administer medications, therapies, and treatments according to critical care standards and unit protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support effective care planning and improved patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Respond quickly to evolving patient needs and maintain a calm, professional presence in a high-acuity setting
