Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Job in Fairbanks, Alaska

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700-$2,840
- Setting: 17-bed LDRP unit
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alaska, or willingness to begin the licensure process within 24 hours of acceptance
- Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Recent experience with postpartum care, couplet care, and circulating for C-sections
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
- Ability to float to other departments as needed
- Permanent residence must be 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care in labor, delivery, postpartum, couplet care, and triage
- Support mothers, newborns, and families throughout the birth process
- Assist with and circulate for C-sections when needed
- Monitor maternal and newborn status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure smooth workflow in a busy unit with approximately 80 deliveries per month
- Maintain flexibility to float to other departments based on unit needs
- Deliver patient-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented hospital environment
