MICU Registered Nurse – Travel ICU RN Job in Salem, Massachusetts

Job Details

- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
- Start Date: 10/18/2026
- Setting: Adult MICU within a busy ICU environment
- Location: Salem, Massachusetts
- Floating: Required, primarily to medical/surgical units
- Charting System: EPIC
Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2+ years of continuous MICU, Adult ICU, or critical care nursing experience
- Ability to read telemetry strips confidently
- Experience working in a high-acuity intensive care setting
- Strong flexibility to float to medical/surgical units as needed
- Comfort using EPIC preferred
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, GI bleed, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and other critical conditions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, residents, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications, complete thorough assessments, and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Support safe patient flow and provide care in float assignments when needed
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment
