Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,940 – $3,160
- Assignment Length: 6 weeks
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- Schedule: Day and evening shifts; weekends required
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Work Setting: Hospital pharmacy with a decentralized pharmacist model
- On Call: None
- Overnight Shifts: Not required
- Dress Code: Clean scrubs
- Environment: Supportive inpatient pharmacy team with access to modern tools and systems
Job Requirements
- Active Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience required; hospital pharmacist experience preferred
- Experience with decentralized hospital pharmacy operations preferred
- Knowledge of Pyxis ES, Meditech, and Dose Edge preferred
- Experience with sterile compounding and non-sterile compounding strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends
Responsibilities
- Refill Pyxis machines and maintain medication availability throughout the hospital
- Prepare first doses and support timely medication delivery in the inpatient pharmacy
- Perform IV sterile compounding and non-sterile compounding as needed
- Package unit-dose medications accurately and efficiently
- Answer pharmacy calls and provide helpful support to staff and clinical teams
- Assist pharmacists with daily workflow and medication distribution tasks
- Refill and maintain code blue trays to ensure readiness for urgent care needs
- Follow established pharmacy policies, safety standards, and documentation procedures
