Job Details
- Position: PACU Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 – $1,920
- Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
- Schedule: Day shift coverage with rotating on-call responsibilities after 9:30 p.m.; weekend call rotates among staff
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Location: North Chesterfield, VA 23235
- Richmond Area: Virginia healthcare opportunity with suburban convenience and regional access
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- End Date: January 4, 2027
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- At least 1 year of PACU or ICU nursing experience required
- Strong neuro background
- Ventilator competency
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, organized, and reliable manner
- Experience with PACU, ICU, or neurosurgical patient care preferred
- Drip titration experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care in a busy PACU nursing environment
- Monitor patients with varying acuity levels, including unstable ICU and pediatric cases as assigned
- Manage ventilated patients and support airway and respiratory care needs
- Set up and manage PCA pumps
- Perform drip titration and arterial line blood draws as needed
- Collaborate closely with physicians, coordinators, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe patient outcomes
- Maintain strong organization while multitasking in a dynamic perioperative setting
- Provide on-call support according to the rotating schedule
