Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Assignment Length: 16 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Orientation: 100 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Setting: Acute care oncology float pool with Med/Surg Tele and PCU-level support
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of current, consistent acute care Med/Surg Tele experience or higher within the last 12 months
- Epic charting experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment with oncology-related patient care needs
- Strong attention to infection prevention and fall prevention practices
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Tele patients in an oncology-focused acute care environment
- Float as needed to other Med/Surg Oncology units based on staffing needs
- Monitor telemetry, assess patient status, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Support care for patients with complex medical and surgical diagnoses
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
- Follow infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention standards
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other clinical team members to support quality patient outcomes
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a specialized cancer care setting
