- Floating: May float to like units within scope
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570-$1,650
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain a New Mexico or compact license prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required; pending completion may be acceptable
- CPI preferred
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients preferred
- Comfort working in a fast-paced neuro med-surg environment
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro med-surg patients with a focus on safety, monitoring, and recovery support
- Assess patients, document findings accurately, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and unit protocols
- Monitor neurological status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support rapid response activation and escalate concerns promptly when needed
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and care team members
- Assist with unit flow, including floating to like units as needed
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital environment
