Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel Mammography Technologist
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 – $2,430
- Location: New Haven, Connecticut
- Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday; 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM as needed
- Weekend Coverage: Every other Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Schedule Notes: Schedule posted one week in advance; if scheduled on Saturday, a weekday off is provided
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Float Requirement: Between 4 sites as needed
- Setting: Breast imaging / mammography
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: Provided prior to start
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist or in a related radiology specialty
- ARRT M and ARRT R certification required
- Active BLS certification required
- Breast Ultrasound experience preferred
- Experience with Hologic mammography equipment required
- Travel Radiologic Technologist experience required
- Pending Connecticut license may be accepted, but license must be active prior to start
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple clinical locations
- Must be comfortable working with adult patient populations
Responsibilities
- Perform screening, diagnostic, and 3D mammography procedures with accuracy and professionalism
- Support high-quality breast imaging services in both outpatient and hospital-based settings
- Operate Hologic mammography equipment and follow established imaging protocols
- Maintain radiation safety standards and follow universal precautions/PPE procedures
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication throughout the imaging process
- Float between multiple sites while maintaining consistent productivity and quality standards
- Document procedures accurately in Epic and collaborate with radiology team members
- Adhere to scheduling expectations, including every-other-Saturday coverage
