Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby / Obstetrics
- Location: Winfield, Kansas
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3×12 schedule
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Floating: May be required to float to another unit as needed
- Scheduling: Block scheduling may be considered case by case
Job Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with Centricity preferred
- Comfort working in a critical access hospital environment
- Ability to provide one professional reference
- COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetric cases
- Perform fetal monitoring, NSTs, sterile vaginal exams, and reflex assessments
- Support antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care with a patient-centered approach
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and obstetrical interventions as needed
- Respond to obstetric changes and collaborate with the care team to promote safe outcomes
- Assist with procedures such as amnioinfusion, cervical cerclage support, and recovery care
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the birth experience
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
