ICU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment in Berkeley, CA

Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Location: Berkeley, CA 94705
- Healthcare Setting: Adult ICU / Critical Care
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 – $2,400
- Start Date: 10/26/2026
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and as needed by the unit
- Call Requirement: As needed
- Floating: May float within scope of practice based on unit needs
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred/required per unit guidelines
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Strong experience caring for neuro patients in a critical care setting
- Travel nursing experience required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced adult and geriatric ICU
- Ability to adapt to floating requirements and changing unit needs
- Proficiency with Epic charting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing to ICU patients with a focus on safety, monitoring, and clinical excellence
- Care for complex neuro and critically ill patients with confidence and precision
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, manage drips, and support ventilated patients as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective patient care
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication throughout the shift
- Support patient and family education within the scope of critical care nursing
- Remain flexible to float within scope of practice based on census and operational needs
