OR Tech / Surgical Technologist – Travel Position in Geneva, New York

- Schedule: 4 x 9-hour day shifts with call rotations and weekends as needed
- Shift Duration: 12 Hour Any
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,260 – $1,350
Job Requirements
- 1 year of OR Tech, Operating Room Technician, or Surgical Technologist experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- OR Tech licensure and/or certification required
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and a sterile field at all times
- Strong communication, teamwork, and professional bedside manner
- Comfort working with surgical instruments, supplies, and specialized equipment
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in planning and implementing patient care in the operating room
- Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies based on procedure needs, patient history, and surgeon preference
- Maintain a sterile field and follow AORN standards and facility policies at all times
- Perform proper cleaning, sterilization, and handling of instruments and surgical equipment
- Support correct counts, sharps safety, medication labeling, and contamination prevention practices
- Monitor the surgical environment for safety, cleanliness, and compliance with healthcare standards
- Serve as a helpful preceptor and mentor to new team members when needed
- Adapt quickly to changing surgical procedures while helping ensure smooth case flow
