Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Uniontown, PA
Experienced Cardiac Stepdown RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Job Details
- Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania 15401
- Setting: Acute care cardiac stepdown / telemetry
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040 – $2,150
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, as scheduled
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Floating: May float to ICU as helping hands
- Charting System: EPIC
- Orientation: 2 shifts with a preceptor
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of acute care, telemetry, stepdown, or cardiac nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to interpret telemetry strips and manage a cardiac-focused patient population
- Experience titrating cardiac-related drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin
- Comfort caring for patients with dysrhythmias, CVAs, and mixed-acuity diagnoses
- Strong assessment, communication, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends as scheduled, and rotating holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythms and changing patient conditions
- Administer medications and manage ordered drips according to patient needs and protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient progress
- Care for patients downgraded from ICU and those with a variety of acute medical conditions
- Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
- Support a team-based environment while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
