Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Albuquerque, NM
Travel to Northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a 13-week Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse job caring for adult and geriatric patients on a supportive, team-oriented unit.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460-$1,540
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Weekends required; floating within scope as needed
- Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit
- Charting System: Epic
- Location: Northeast Albuquerque, NM 87109
- Openings: 3
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact license eligible prior to start
- 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Comfort caring for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
- Ability to work weekends and float within scope
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care in a busy medical-surgical hospital setting
- Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and support individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and use critical thinking to prioritize care
- Support safe unit flow while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered nursing care
