Neuro Registered Nurse – Travel RN Job in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Details
- Position: Neuro Registered Nurse
- Location: Nashville, Tennessee 37207
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekend Rotation: 2 weekends every 4-week schedule
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550-$1,630
- Unit Type: Neuro Med/Surg
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs, top and bottom
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg or neuro nursing experience
- Strong ability to prioritize care and multitask in a busy clinical setting
- Experience starting IVs
- Basic wound care experience
- Comfort managing surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Ability to provide compassionate bedside care and communicate effectively with patients and families
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro med/surg patients
- Complete bedside shift report and actively include patients and family members in the plan of care
- Monitor patients using telemetry and other unit-based equipment as needed
- Perform IV starts, wound care, and routine clinical assessments
- Manage and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Collaborate with the care team to support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established unit guidelines and protocols
