Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Job – Pediatric Emergency Department in San Antonio, TX

Travel RN Job Details
- Specialty: Pediatric Emergency Department
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Estimated Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating
- Floating: Required to ED holds or inpatient areas as needed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
Pediatric RN Job Requirements
- Active Texas RN license required; temporary licenses are not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Experience caring for pediatric patients required
- BLS required
- PALS required
- ENPC required
- TNCC required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency department
- Perform thorough assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Administer medications and support a variety of pediatric interventions
- Perform IV starts, in-and-out catheterizations, and medication reconciliation
- Collaborate with physicians, midlevel providers, techs, and unit support staff
- Respond to changing patient needs in a busy, high-volume pediatric ER environment
- Float as needed to support ED holds or inpatient areas
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies and safety standards
