Job Details

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Schedule: Days, every other weekend, floating required, holidays required
- Charting System: Cerner
- Setting: Acute care med-surg with remote telemetry monitoring
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
- BLS certification required
- Recent Cerner experience required
- At least 2 completed travel nursing assignments required
- Experience with med-surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt to changing unit needs
- Ability to work every other weekend, holidays, and float between med-surg and telemetry units as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications using bedside scanning and follow established safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Care for a diverse med-surg population including ortho, post-op, CHF, and respiratory patients
- Monitor patients on remote telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and support smooth unit workflow
- Adapt to schedule changes based on unit needs and provide dependable floating support between med-surg and telemetry
