Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Location: Lorain, OH 44053
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and every other holiday
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics / Mother-Baby
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
- At least 1 year of registered nurse experience required
- Recent OB nursing, Emergency Department, or critical care experience preferred
- BLS preferred prior to direct patient care
- NRP preferred or obtainable within 3 months of hire
- Ability to flex between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby as needed
- Comfort working with electronic fetal monitoring and obstetric equipment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby settings
- Perform ongoing assessments, triage, and nursing interventions based on patient condition and acuity
- Monitor fetal heart tracings and support electronic fetal monitoring processes
- Assist with vaginal exams, labor support, breastfeeding education, and discharge teaching
- Circulate and recover C-sections when needed; scrub experience is a plus but not required
- Collaborate closely with the interprofessional team to support maternal and newborn outcomes
- Promote patient safety, family education, and a positive birth experience
