Job Details
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care / Telemetry-Progressive Care
- Location: Johnstown, PA 15905
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Setting: Acute care telemetry / progressive care unit (PCU)
- Patient Population: Cardiac and geriatric patients
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- 2+ years of acute care nursing experience preferred; cardiac RN and telemetry experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac patients strongly preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and follow unit scheduling needs
- Must be comfortable supporting a high-acuity patient population
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients
- Monitor and assess cardiac and post-operative patients with attention to changing conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to support treatment plans
- Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to best practices
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Support patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, MI, open heart recovery, Watchman procedures, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and pacer management
- Maintain a compassionate, professional presence while delivering exceptional bedside care
