Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – Travel Contract in Winchester, VA

Job Details
- Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Location: Winchester, Virginia area
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Unit Setting: Acute care float pool with telemetry and med/surg patient care
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: None
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Cardiac nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA only
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Ability to float to other units as needed
- Strong clinical judgment and confidence caring for acute care patients
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, skilled nursing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support high-quality patient care
- Float to comparable units as needed within the hospital
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment
- Deliver compassionate care while promoting patient safety and positive outcomes
