Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel contract
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/28/2026
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,671 – $1,857
• Setting: Acute care case management
• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Flexibility: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous experience in utilization review, care coordination, and/or case management preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• BSN or related bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or compact RN license required
• No temporary licenses accepted
• NURSYS verification required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and discharge planning skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary and healthcare team members to facilitate effective patient care
• Coordinate care and services throughout the acute care episode and across the continuum
• Monitor appropriate utilization of healthcare resources to support quality and efficiency
• Lead safe and timely discharge planning efforts
• Support desired clinical and financial outcomes through proactive case management
• Communicate with internal and external partners to ensure continuity of care
• Adapt to floating between units and hospitals based on patient care needs
