Registered Nurse – Home Health / Homecare | Newburgh, NY
Compassionate Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week home health assignment in Newburgh, New York. Deliver personalized patient care in the home setting while working independently across a local territory in the scenic Hudson Valley.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,060-$2,390
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

- Coverage Area: Newburgh territory
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
- Hours Per Week: 36
- On-Call/Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Productivity Expectation: 30
- Mileage Reimbursement: Mileage paid from first patient to last patient
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
- Previous homecare or home health nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with OASIS documentation required
- Experience with HCHB required
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a patient caseload efficiently
- Reliable transportation for travel throughout the assigned territory
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Complete patient assessments, develop care plans, and document visits accurately and thoroughly
- Utilize OASIS and HCHB systems to support compliant and timely clinical documentation
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate care team members
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and disease management
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as needed
- Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality, compassionate home health care
