- Schedule Notes: 4-week schedules with 3-4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
- Float Expectation: Float as needed based on unit census and staffing needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent ICU experience or strong critical care experience required
- Cardiac critical care experience required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Experience with PA catheter monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- Experience with IABP preferred
- Experience with Impella preferred
- CRRT experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care for critically ill cardiac and ICU patients
- Monitor complex hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with advanced procedures, including central line insertion, Swan insertion, and intubations
- Provide care for patients requiring advanced support such as IABP and Impella
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document accurately in the Meditech EMR system
- Support safe patient flow, including floating when needed based on census
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellent patient outcomes
