Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Travel Nurse Assignment in Gadsden, Alabama

Job Details
- Setting: Medical/Surgical unit
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 – $1,700
- Location: Gadsden, AL
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
Job Requirements
- Active Compact or Alabama RN license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Travel clinicians must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Administer medications and treatments according to established standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the clinical team
- Support a positive patient experience in a busy acute care environment
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong teamwork throughout the assignment
