Job Details
- Specialty: Emergency Department / ER Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Location: Wilson, North Carolina
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Float: Like assignment
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to work in the applicable state
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong teamwork skills, positive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Experience caring for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Support care for patients with respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis-related concerns, hypertension, and other common ED diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver timely, effective treatment
- Use clinical judgment to prioritize care based on acuity and patient needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established ED workflows and protocols
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and quality care
