This is a 13-week travel assignment for an experienced Therapeutic Medical Physicist with a focus on radiation oncology and treatment support. Job Requirements
- Board Certified Medical Physicist by ABR or ABMP
- Active Michigan medical physicist license required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred; 5+ years strongly preferred
- Experience in radiation oncology and therapeutic medical physics
- Strong clinical background with a clean work history and no malpractice or license issues
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Perform chart checks, including initial and weekly reviews
- Conduct machine quality assurance to support safe and effective radiation treatment delivery
- Provide HDR treatment planning and treatment operation support
- Supervise SBRT treatment activities
- Support radiation therapy workflows across multiple treatment locations
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-focused care
