• Setting: Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts
• Shift Duration: 8 hours, any shift

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,690 – $1,820

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain before start
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative rehab team
• Excellent documentation, communication, and patient education skills

Physical Therapy Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and physician direction
• Implement and modify therapy interventions to support functional recovery and a safe return to daily activities
• Document evaluations, progress notes, goal updates, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and patients to ensure coordinated, high-quality outpatient rehabilitation care
• Provide education to patients, families, students, and coworkers as appropriate
• Follow all state practice act requirements, safety standards, and clinic policies
• Support quality improvement efforts and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment
