• Schedule Notes: Day shift starting around 7:00 AM; call may be required as needed

Job Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Associate degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in Surgical Technology required
• 1 year of perioperative, operating room, or related surgical technology experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical counts, and infection control practices
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with the surgical team
• Comfort working with a broad patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Ability to manage physical demands of an OR environment, including standing for long periods and assisting with patient movement

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures
• Function as the scrub person and assist during operative and invasive procedures
• Maintain an organized sterile field and take corrective action to preserve sterility
• Assist with sterile draping, skin prep, clipping, and surgical setup
• Perform surgical counts with the circulating RN according to policy
• Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team throughout the case
• Retrieve, label, and manage specimens correctly
• Support safe care practices, patient safety initiatives, and infection control standards
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure room cleaning and equipment turnover
• Adapt to changing case needs and assist with call coverage as scheduled
