Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: West Des Moines, IA 50266
- Assignment Length: 26 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
- Start Date: 09/20/2026
- End Date: 03/20/2027
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Ability to provide safe, efficient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
- Comfort working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Willingness to float as needed within the system
- Required onboarding and compliance documentation must be completed prior to start
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately
- Coordinate care plans with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Support safe patient transitions, admissions, and discharges
- Maintain a patient-focused approach while promoting quality and continuity of care
- Float to other assigned areas as needed based on patient care needs
