Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Springfield, Missouri
Psych RN travel job in Springfield, MO 65806: join a dedicated behavioral health team and provide meaningful care in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to support children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in a structured, patient-centered environment in the heart of the Ozarks.

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing
- Experience caring for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors preferred
- Comfortable working in an inpatient psychiatric or acute behavioral health environment
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong communication, assessment, and de-escalation skills
- Paper charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate nursing care to patients across the lifespan
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in behavioral health status
- Support stabilization through therapeutic, structured inpatient psychiatric care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility charting procedures
- Promote a safe, supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Assist with care coordination for patients transitioning to the appropriate next level of care
