Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Fetal monitoring knowledge or certification
- Experience providing high-quality, compassionate maternity care
- Ability to support patient choice and individualized birth plans
- Experience with OR circulation and women’s health procedures preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced OB environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
- Support patient-centered, family-focused birth experiences
- Assist with circulating in the OR for cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
- Perform and support procedures including IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, JADA system use, and nitrous oxide support
- Collaborate closely with midwives, CRNA, OB providers, and the broader women’s services care team
- Float to mother/baby or assist outside the department as needed
- Maintain a high standard of patient safety, clinical quality, and experience throughout every shift
- Contribute to a supportive healthcare team focused on excellent maternity outcomes
