- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of registered nurse experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Dysrhythmia exam required
- Experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, stepdown, or acute care hospital settings strongly preferred
- Comfort caring for orthopedic, post-op, and telemetry patients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and effective in a dynamic hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and prioritize care needs appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and nursing practice guidelines
- Monitor telemetry, assess dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for orthopedic and post-operative patients, including patients with surgical drains and mobility needs
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other care team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
- Support patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication across the care team
- Provide compassionate, relationship-based care that supports positive patient outcomes
