Job Details
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Setting: Acute care / Critical Access hospital
- Type: Travel Registered Nurse position
- Location: Winfield, Kansas
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 3x12s, with every third weekend required
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
Job Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
- Experience with high-risk labor and vaginal deliveries strongly preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Comfort with Centricity charting preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented unit
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care for Labor & Delivery patients throughout the birthing process
- Assist with sterile speculum exams, sterile vaginal exams, NSTs, and reflex checks
- Monitor fetal well-being using external and internal fetal monitoring as needed
- Support labor management for vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and C-sections
- Perform postpartum assessments and provide maternal and newborn care
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Respond to obstetric changes and support timely clinical decision-making
- Provide education and reassurance to patients and families during labor, delivery, and recovery
- Float to other related units when needed based on facility needs
