Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand prior to submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting required
- Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Ability to work effectively in a 1:6 patient ratio acute care environment
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the shift
- Manage common Med/Surg diagnoses, including UTI, pneumonia, COPD/respiratory failure, sepsis, AKI, chest pain, cellulitis, and altered mental status
- Administer medications and coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Support cardiac rhythm monitoring and implement appropriate nursing interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate clearly with providers and colleagues
- Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions to promote patient safety
- Provide compassionate bedside care in a dynamic acute care hospital setting
