- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or as needed
- Call: As needed
- Float: As needed
- Unit Size: 24 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- EHR: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active RN license eligible for practice in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- NIH certification required
- Wound care certification (HWC) available on-site
- Strong clinical assessment and acute care nursing skills
- Professional, team-oriented approach to patient care
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and occasional float assignments
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate bedside care to a diverse adult patient population
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout the shift
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to clinical standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EHR system
- Support patient safety, quality outcomes, and a positive unit experience
