Travel Registered Nurse (RN), Labor & Delivery – Asheville, North Carolina
Experienced Labor & Delivery RN wanted for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Asheville, NC. Join a respected hospital team providing high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced women’s health unit.
Job Details
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

- Setting: Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
- Strong immediate newborn care and stabilization skills
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to adapt quickly in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment
- Preferred: Circulating experience
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, mothers, and newborns
- Support vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
- Assist with high-risk obstetric care and immediate newborn stabilization
- Monitor fetal status using advanced electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with charge nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
- Float as needed to related women’s health and newborn care areas based on unit needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit policies and clinical standards
